The Moon in Deep Winter

Product Description
This literary thriller revolves around Parker Sloane. When he returns from a dismal foray into third-world cash-smuggling to his childhood home in the woods of New England, it seems he’s seeing his country and his blended stepfamily for the first time—and finding both just as twitchy, desperate, paranoid and unpredictable as the underworld types he thought he’d escaped.

Before he can even unpack, Parker goes head-to-head with his relatives—his tyrannical stepfather, seething younger brother, newly evangelical mother, and his alluring younger half-sister Rita—and with the demons they never exorcised.

Delicately but disastrously, Parker attempts to keep his family from imploding, unaware that they have their own plans for escape. The Moon in Deep Winter combines the dark comedy of the Coen brothers with the doomed lyricism of Denis Johnson, creating an airtight world of homicidal family dysfunction.

I have the black Amazon Kindle cover for my Kindle 2.  I am looking for a padded, zippered carrying case that I can use that will allow me to put the Kindle in it without taking it out of the leather Amazon cover.  Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Welcome to Kindleboards, Michelle.
Borsa Bella has some beautiful zippered padded cases. http://www.borsabella.com/e-reader-bags
Perhaps that's what you're looking for.  If not, let us know.   We'll keep looking.

Awesome!  I see they have one that will work with the Oberon covers too.  I am looking at those as well.  Thank you!

Melissa at BorsaBella is wonderful.  If you want a custom bag, you can send her fabric.  If you want to change a bag, she works with you on that.  She has great products and wonderful customer service.  If you look on the accessories thread, you might have to search a little, but there are pictures of folks Kindle, cover, and BB bag.

If you are looking for real protection, check out the Vera Bradley Mini Laptop Case. It has a hard shell as well as adjustable dividers inside so that you can also carry your power cord and light. You can toss your Kindle into any tote bag and be assured that it is well protected. There is a thread already going about it.

I like this one: http://www.amazon.com/LightWedge-Soft-Case-Original-Size/dp/193283611X/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1265297779&sr=8-7

It's plain (which I like), and does the job for me.  : )

Vera Bradley also makes a zippered lunch bag with handles that works perfect for the kindle and cord and my Ipod too. I just bought one and it was right around $24.00.

I use that one as well - have had it for awhile but never bothered with using it until I got my Nancy Drew cover - don't want it getting scratched up in my purse.  I just leave it in my purse all the time, slip the Kindle in it when I go out (don't always even bother to zip it).  Serves the purpose very well.

I haven't bought any Vera Bradley bags but I just received a catalog and they have some very tempting new patterns.

Meemo, I wish I had the Nancy Drew cover to put into my bag!  : )  It took all the willpower in the world for me not to buy that cover before the coupon/discount code expired.  I'd set up an account, had it in my cart, had all my cc info put it -- I came soooo close to getting it.  But, honestly, I DON'T need another cover!

Now that the coupon's expired, my want is not quite so intense.  Another wave will come over, I'm sure, when it comes out in book-style.    Undecided

I know what you mean - thank goodness the only cover I had for my new K2 was a $14.99 one - I actually gave that one to my daughter and she's using it now, it feels little more protective than the slim Mivisu platform cover I'd given her with her Kindle.  Loving this one though - I'd consider getting one of the Alicia Klein bookstyle covers too if I started tiring of this one - or there was another discount!  See, I get how you think!   Wink  (Much to my husband's chagrin....)

I just happened to have a Light Wedge soft case that fits the Kindle well.  I like the soft, black fabric.  It's what I used to protect my Kindle while I was awaiting the delivery of my leather cover. Now I have an Oberon.  It fits perfectly into the Light Wedge case.

I also have the black Amazon cover for my Kindle 2 and this is the padded case I use to put it in. Works just fine for me.
