I've had my K2i since Christmas- and I have been reading on it like a madwoman!
Last night, my husband gave me a paperback that he had just finished and said that even though it wasn't "kindled" he thought I might enjoy it.  Opened it up, started readiing, got to the end of a page and for just a second, I sat there- I had "forgotten" for just a beat that I had to actually, physically turn the page!!!  LOL
(I adapted of course- but I thought that it was just too funny that I actually sat there and stared at it for a second)

... or perhaps I am just overtired and somewhat "brain dead"....

Ha ha ha!  That's funny.  I've been trying to read a few of my paper books so I can get them out of the house, and I really don't enjoy them at all now.  I notice that my eyes have to shift their focus so much more to accommodate the curve of the page and the angles.  Definitely harder to read.

Anyway, when I finished the book I told my husband how much I enjoyed it, and he said "I'll have to download it."  Which cracked me up because I had the hard copy there in my hands.  I guess he's even more hooked than I am.

BTW, the book was "Midwives."

I know the feeling. I got my K2 for Christmas and started reading a series of books. One of them isn't available on the Kindle, so a friend loaned me her paperback.  Shocked Had a hard time with the print, and the bending pages...and there wasn't a convenient place to clip my light so I could see the whole page. I did get exercise turning the pages, though. Wink I also found out just how much easier the K2 is on my eyes. I had noticed for awhile that when I read a book for a long period, my eyes had a hard time refocusing when I'd stop reading. That doesn't happen on the Kindle, and when I read this book, I noticed just how bad it is.

Love my Kindle! That's probably the last book I'll read in paper form for awhile.

I have the same re-focusing problems when I've been reading for a while.  I can read way longer on the Kindle than I ever could read a DTB.  Now I can justify my Kindle purchases for its  "medical benefis".  Ha Ha.

I love my kindle but still read books.   I am not waiting 90 days to read James Patterson so I guess I am back to buying his hardbacks.

After I got my Gem stand the other day, I said, all I need is a remote control page turner now.  Wouldn't that be great?  Have the K2 on the bedside table, push the button, turn the page.....Ahhhh, it WILL happen one day.  (I envision the remote looking like one of those small white thin Apple remotes).  LOL

A friend loaned me a DTB a few weeks ago. I read 20 pages of it, decided I liked the book but I really really wanted to read it on my Kindle, so I ordered it up! Methinks I have a problem....  Cheesy

I am so spoiled now that I own a Kindle.  I think all books should be available for Kindle.  I pout if I HAVE to read a real book.  It requires two hands, and the light never sits right or throws light on the whole book.  I love my Kindle!

Yeah the biggest pain with books is that they require two hands. Good point!

My sister just gave me a new paperback and my first thought was, "I wonder if that's available for my Kindle"
