My pink finally arrived today. It's lovely. I would take pics but Judith already did a fabulous job of the picture taking. Not sure this is MY color but it's very pretty, especially for summer. I ordered a cheap Belkin flippie type case for my iPhone, also in pink, which shipped today. Wonder if I'll survive all the "pink" comments from the guys at work lol

Oh my, I just received, less than five minutes ago, a Gold Maia noreve. I tried to change the order to beige leather but apparently it was too late. I worried that the gold would be garish yellow! But it is just beautiful. It is a beautiful rich bronze gold. It is patent leather and I was worried that fingerprints would show but they dont. When hubby goes to work I will out it and post you some pictures. I used the discount code and saved 30 euros I think. And it smells bewdiful! Like leather!

Very pretty! I bet then, the Platinum color would have the same sheen. I really like it!

Oh my, this is the best fitting cover I have ever had (previously MEdge and Oberons). Such a lovely little package and the most comfortable cover to hold. None of those 'slip' feels that you get with the other covers. I imagine the leather ones must be gorgeous.

Really, really pretty!
Pushka, what do you mean by "slip" the other covers have? (I've never had any other covers but have been thinking of getting an Oberon.)

I think the noreve cradles the kindle better than the hinges of the Oberon so in your hands it feels, snug. The kindle just sits there. The Velcro system works quite well but the whole noreve makes for a really slim little package. I think the silver one would look like the silver finish on fridges rather than the silver of alfoil. Does that make it grey?

very nice and toasty warm looking! I was very much in love with the look of the platinum, but I like to munch while I read, and I was afraid it was too light-colored for that.

Could we say that the Noreve "cradles" the Kindle so that they become one?? So other than any movement from the cover folded back which can be alleviated by back snapping it, you are essentially hold ONE thing. Ergo...... no slippage!!!

Really? hmmm..... I guess most of us went the other way around. First Oberon and then Noreve. The Oberons are beautiful but IMHO not at all comfy to hold while reading. Just my 2 cents. Signed, owner of 2 Noreves (pink in use at the moment, black resting up for winter) and 1 Oberon sitting in the cabinet all by itself

Maybe I can borrow your Oberon to try it out, lol. When I was researching covers I noticed most people who had Oberons and then got Noreves tended to use the Noreves much more, or all the time but I haven't experienced them yet. I have J'Tote's Dubheasa and Shauna bags and Oberon's Wild Rose just seems perfect for them, and I am really looking forward to the new Oberon Hummingbird.

I didn't get the pics done but I am going to sell the pink Noreve. It just isn't me. Too bright? Too pink? hmmm.... who knows. Anyways, if anyone is interested I'd like to have $70 for it and I'll pay the shipping to the lower 48. For what it's worth, the color in Judith's pics earlier in this thread is exact. Couldn't do it any better which is why I haven't. But if anyone is interested and wants more pics, I can definitely take some. I used this case somewhere between 2 and 3 days. Was totally satisfied with the black one and just thought to add a bit of variety. I'll also list this in the Buy,Sell,Trade Section. PM me with offers, questions... Vicki

I just received my black Noreve case and I feel it's a lot better than the Amazon K2 case! Also received the Forest DG skin over the weekend so now it's sitting pretty in the Noreve case. Liking both very much!
Thanks for posting your pictures and welcome to the world of Noreve lovers! I have 2 (a pink and a purple) and I don't anticipate that I'll ever want anything else. Your skin is nice too, I looked at that one at Decal Girl several times, love the colors in it. I ended up designing my own skin.

I should receive an orange noreve cover tomorrow. We have just returned from Indonesia and the leather work there is just beautiful. While there I had two leather folios made, with zips that go around three sides. It means you can open it from the long end, or the short end without things falling out. My kindle in its Noreve Gold Maia (which I really love and it doesnt get grubby) fits in perfectly, along with my iphone, passport, glasses, and pens for immigtation documents. Perfect to grab out of the backback which goes in the lockers, and it sits with me during long plane flights taking up no space but keeping everything safely together. Anyway, I had a red one and an orange one made up - when I am upnpacked I'll post some piccies.

Hmm, ok this case caught my eye I'll admit. I have a question for anyone who's had a noreve more than a few months: does the kindle ever get to feeling loose in the rail thing? Also, is the front cover a hard cover?

I've had mine about 6 weeks; railing still snug as Day One. Front of cover is hard, but the leather is incredibly soft. Kinda like an Ortho bed with a pillow top. :lol

I have a Noreve that's approaching the one year mark. The rails on mine have not loosened appreciably, though I understand that they're a leather-covered metal, so if they do loosen, it's apparently easy enough to tighten them back up with a bit of pressure.
As I said though, in a year of use, mine haven't budged!
