I refuse to buy it until it has a built in feature that automatically speaks...."in a minute dear..."
For those of you who do not live alone, have you ever noticed that as soon as you get totally engrossed in a book someone is calling out to you for something! That's why I read in the tub! Door closed and locked, quiet music, and no interuptions.
As an aside, have you also noticed that as soon as you sit down and get settled with your knitting, needlepoint, etc. the dogs need to go out.....I already had 2 and just got 2 new puppies on Tues - I'm ready for the funny farm!

A book, I think, is very like a little golden door. That takes me into places where I've never been before. It leads me into fairyland or countries strange and far. And, best of all, the golden door always stands ajar. - Adelaide Love

Will it make paper-rustling sounds as it turns pages?

Yeah, I didn't even twitch when I read it because we still have some dot-matrix printers here at work with parallel cables!!!!! They are the workhorses of industry.

Since you mentioned commuting, I'm visualizing a busful of people with Kindles all saying "turn page" and causing their neighbor's Kindle to respond. Or rascals passing by and saying "next chapter" just to mess with readers--LOL.

How about a built in Phaser for self defence? Now that would be cool! I don't care about the Phaser, I just want to be able to say "Tea, Earl Grey, Hot" and get a cuppa with my ebook! "Engage!"

That will be the Harry Potter edition! Naah, there can't be a Harry Potter edition. J.K. Rowling won't allow it! It could have the audio books loaded: Listening Library presents The Harry Potter series read by Jim Dale. However that might take all of its memory. (EDIT: Wait, with MS Office, the audio books won't all fit. )

Now, would that be the Roomba--Kindle Edition, or the Kindle--Roomba Edition?

Hold it just a minute...but if it doesn't run my errands for me and accurately predict the weather...then I don't want it.
