I have never felt the need to have a screen protector since I have a cover to protect the screen when I'm not reading it.  The only device I've ever gotten a screen protector for is my Nintendo DS, because you use a stylus on it constantly.

I have a screen protector on my Kindle. I'm not sure if I'll put another one on. First, it was a royal pain to get it on with no bubbles. Secondly, and I don't know if they are all like this, it added a bit of a glare. I may just rely on my case from here on out.

Here's a copy of my post in another thread from the day before...

I got these WriteRight Screen Protectors from Walmart for $5 (2-pack, no less). They were a perfect fit and installed with absolutely no bubbles on my Kindle. The amount of glare is identical, as far as I can tell, to the non-protected screen.

I hadn't planned on putting one on my kindle but my son bought me these just today. It was so easy to put on, fit perfectly, and only a couple bubbles that were easy to get out. So far it has my vote.

Thanks for the tip about the screen protector from Walmart, Jason. I bought a gel-skin from United Integral for my Kindle 2 and they sent a bonus screen protector for the DX!

I think Amazon carries the same ones
