I see that many of you like to dress your Kindles...I wonder if anyone else has named theirs? One of my favorite series is Sue Grafton's alphabet mysteries so I've decided to name mine Kinsey . I name my cars too, have owned Mavis Maverick, Corey Accord, Prissy Prelude, Vivian Volvo, Vanna White I and II (Eurovans) and Tawiah Touareg. Touareg is an African word as is Tawiah which means "first child after twins," chosen because she followed the "twin" Eurovans. Kim

I named my Kindle so I would have a cool email address for it. I don't refer to it by name in casual conversation, though

Mine is Sunny Kindle. But I name all my favorite stuff--my blankets, my iPods, my computer, my piggy bank, and recently I named my nightstand. At that point certain family members referred to me as a weird woman and suggested I needed to get out more. I did not tell them that sometimes I actually speak to my blankets, etc. Oh, wait.
I just realized I need to get out more.

LOL! I've never named a nightstand. Mom names her cars. She even has her current car's name on the license plate!

I just bought your book We Interrupt This Date and after reading your funny post I might have to bump it up to the top of my TBR list.

I named mine, too. Her name is Ianthe...I just love the name and kept coming back to it when considering what to call my Kindle, so I figured it was meant to be.
