Mine is name Gidget. I have the Hokusai Wave cover and the flip-flop DecalSkin, so the name fits.

I just bought your book We Interrupt This Date and after reading your funny post I might have to bump it up to the top of my TBR list. Thank you so much! I will reluctantly admit that I put some of myself into some of my characters, but I don't dare say which ones. Hope you enjoy the book.

Yep, I have a thing about naming my gadgets. I named Kindle Sula, after a character from a Toni Morrison novel of the same name.

I sometimes refer to mine as "Kindling". Not because I want to burn it. Just because.

I see that many of you like to dress your Kindles...I wonder if anyone else has named theirs? One of my favorite series is Sue Grafton's alphabet mysteries so I've decided to name mine Kinsey . I name my cars too, have owned Mavis Maverick, Corey Accord, Prissy Prelude, Vivian Volvo, Vanna White I and II (Eurovans) and Tawiah Touareg. Touareg is an African word as is Tawiah which means "first child after twins," chosen because she followed the "twin" Eurovans. Kim See the explanation of my Kindle's name below my post in the comment area. This name resulted because of many replacements I had due to the sunfade issue. (I don't even like to talk about that horrible time!) Anyway, I named her after the sun so it would leave us alone!

I have very few objects that I name (one being our vacuum so that when my children were small they wouldn't be afraid of it) but I decided that I would give my Kindle a name. I named her Austen after Jane Austen. I am still not sure if the name fits but for now that is what it is.

My Kindle has no name and neither have any of my other gadgets or equipment. The only piece of technology with a name was my Windows PC, which was called "Piece of Sh**t", but that was before I switched to a Mac.

I haven't named it but we do occasionally call them Krinkles. As in, "What are you doing reading MY Krinkle when you have your own?!"

As I've posted before (forgive me, those who have read this before)..... my KK is named MaKK.... for "Magik Karpet Kindle" because he is able to transport me anywhere I choose to go. I've had MaKK for a year-and-a-half now and he's my daily companion!!

I named my Kindle Lottie after a character in the novel A Little Princess. Lottie was the little girl who followed Sarah Crewe around a lot and had her pretend to be her mother.

I named my kindle Killashandra Lee - Killa for short - after a character in the Crystal Singer series from Anne McCaffrey. When I was in my very early teens (I think that was right after the dinosaurs disappeared), my brother (who was then and still is an avid sci-fi reader) brought home a huge paper bag full of sci-fi books from a used book store and gave me a stack of books that he thought I might like. A couple of those were Crystal Singer and one of the Dragonriders of Pern books from Anne McCaffrey. Thus was born my voracious reading appetite...
