I'd check out some of the Vera Bradley bags:

They have a nice selection of zip bags. Also, you might consider searching for netbook cases; the DX with a cover is about the size of most netbooks.

The carry cases are also a good idea. Super tough and you can get them with a free light and chargers for the car as well. They mostly seem to be for the DX too.

Any 10 inch netbook pc case should work fine.  I got one from china on ebay for ~$10 delivered.  It works great.

Check out the BookBook by Twelve South. It's made for the iPad, but it and the DX are about the same size and I'm pretty sure there's some spare room in the case.
