Has anyone seen this case from Cases.com? It's a little pricey, but looks really nice. I've had cases from cases.com in the past for my ipod and pda, and they were both very nice & were of very good quality. Anyone?

I didn't realize that Piel Frama made cases for the Kindle (or if I did, I forgot...)  Their cases are on par with Noreve's; VERY well made, a wide range of colors (normally), high quality leather, and expensive.  I've bought a couple of their cases for my cellphones and have loved them.  Considering what they charge for cellphone cases, this Kindle case is very reasonable.

Funny, but after I posted this question, I searched KB and found some comments about Piel Frama. I like that the Kindle slips into the cover, rather than hooking in using a rail or corner straps. I suppose that would cover up my DecalGirl, etc. But I'm SO tempted to order one of these! If you order green or black right now, you get 20% off....but I like blue or pink  Roll Eyes

I'm now thinking of ordering that case, myself (here we go again!)  $63.20 is a bargain when you consider that it would cost $109 to order from Piel Frama.

Does anyone know if there is any kind of closing mechanism on this case?

I hadn't thought about that, but apparently not.  It looks like they wouldn't need it as much as the cases that leave the Kindle totally exposed, though a closure would still be better, IMO.

I went to pielframa.com and studied the cover closely. It doesn't appear to have any kind of closure. Other than that, it all looks so substantial. But if the Kindle in the cover were in a tote bag, would one have to worry about something getting inside the cover and scratching the screen?  I'm still very tempted to order one.

It is very possible that this case uses a magnetic closure system like the Noreve covers do.  The magnets could be inside the leather on the right side of the sleeve part of the case, which holds the Kindle 2 and on the right side of the case cover.

Thank-you Amazon for the Kindle, I am reading print again after being away from it for 15 years because of decreasing vision.  I never walk out my front door without my Kindle DXG and Fire, they have been both liberating and life changing for me.  Thanks again.  Sincerely, Gene

I looked at this case in pink when it was talked about a couple months ago, and it looked really nice, but someone else did order it and felt it really didn't hold the Kindle well (though that was for a DX, and mine would have been for a K2).  She returned hers, and I decided not to order.  Let me see if I can find that thread . . .

Here it is!

I don't know if this has been posted yet (newbie here, hi folks), but I was looking at the Piel Frama cases for Kindle 2 on cases.com and saw this one. It is similar to the Frama ones, possibly a bit less of a frame for the kindle, but it does have a closure, and is lower priced ($53 without the 20% discount currently advertised).

Ohhhhhhhhhh  I know Piel Frama.  They make lovely cases.  I used to own a Palm Pilot and a Treo and Piel Frame made some awesome cases for those devices.  And being a bit of a case freak myself, after I started looking at the Noreves, I decided to wander down south of the border and see what the guys at Vaja in Argentina were producing.  Alas, they are not.  It's ok I suppose cause cases would no doubt be $300 and have a 6 month delivery schedule.  LOL  And make everyone drool as well.

I have made a quilted carry all bag for the Kindle 1 & 2.  It will hold the Kindle, power cord and your instruction manual keeping them all in one place.  No two are exactly alike.  I have them up in Ebay just to see if they are something a Kindle owner would want.  I call them Kindle carry-all accessory & storage bag if you would care to look.
