I stumbled upon KB when looking to accessorize my Kindle and find it very informative. I looked at Noreve, Oberon and M-edge cases. I didn't like the straps or the velcro in the cases. I liked the hinges and so may end up buying the black Amazon case. Noreve's rail system seemed the best.
I ordered the Tweet light skin from decal girl and a Noreve Perpetual white case to go along with it. I wanted to go with green or orange but stuck to white. The white was more attractive than the Ivory Ambition Selection(in the pictures on the website). Anyone has a white Noreve or a Noreve? If so, how do you like it?

Noreve (US), I believe, has filed for bankruptcy; not sure you can still order these items?

Sure you can. You simply go to noreve.com (not noreve-usa.com) and place your order. It ships from Europe. The only thing wrong with this is that the Euro conversion makes the noreve's price over $100, which to me is significantly more than the $85 max (before 15% discount) that we used to get from their US distributor.

gin_ger, welcome to KB and congratulations on your new Kindle! As JCBeam mentioned, your order should be fine; the noreve-usa site is no longer in service and all pages appear to route directly to the Noreve France site. Their products are pricey, especially with the Euro/dollar conversion, but they're very very high quality and I doubt you'll regret your purchase. Personally, after using the rail system, I could never go back to straps, and I always hated the velcro! I don't recall anyone having purchased either the white or the ivory covers, so unfortunately I doubt we have pics of one to show you. There's a review here that you may not have seen yet: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,20819.0.html The pics in that review are of one of the black cases, but they should give you a much better idea of the configuration of your new cover than the ones on the Noreve site.

It was not "Noreve USA" that folded -- it was Croucier Industries, a distributor. Croucier Industries distributed products from several manufacturers, not just Noreve.
One of my friends has white Perpetual covers for both her Kindle and her phone. They are very attractive, and if you like white accessories you would like them. Another friend has a white Ambition case for her iPOD, which is also quite nice. The color is a softer sort of white, not light grey as the photo on the Noreve site suggests. The best advice I can give you is this: If you own a white purse and it is surviving your lifestyle and personal habits then you should do just fine with a white Kindle cover. However, if there is a reason to be concerned about cleanliness a color might serve you better.
If you go to the Kindle page on the Noreve site and scroll all the way down to the bottom, you will find links to three reviews with excellent photos that show all the details. One of the links takes you to a video. There is also a photo on the Noreve site that shows a model with a white phone case, and another photo showing a small white case lying on a table.
I have several Noreve cases for my Kindle. I have others (Amazon, mEdge, and Bobarra) but I like the Noreve cases best and so those are the ones I use most often. The quality is superb and, in my opinion, definitely worth the price, even with the higher shipping cost. Others might not agree. Cost is relative and a personal matter that everyone needs to decide for themselves.
As for ordering from France: I recently ordered an iPod case and have been very impressed by Noreve's performance thus far. Communications have been prompt and thorough, and I already have a ship date and tracking number. I'm going to post a complete summary when the case arrives because people here are concerned about buying direct as opposed to dealing with a U.S. distributor.

I just placed an order with Noreve for another K2 case partially based on the above quote. Thank you, LibbyD. If anyone wants another Noreve recommendation, here's my .02. I love the Noreve K2 case I already have. It's thin & light, but pretty sturdy & folds backward easily for one-handed reading.

I didn't realize you already have a Noreve case. So you will soon have three -- that one, a white one, and the one you've just ordered --is that right? What colors are the first and third?

No, the OP has ordered a white case. I only have 1 (baby blue leather) and have ordered the Passion Vintage. The baby blue color on the Noreve website is pretty accurate on my monitor. I love it.

Agreed--that's one I'd really like to see real life pics of. The Vintage leathers really don't seem to match the official website images as well as their regular leathers do. I know we've had people who weren't too keen on the Passion and Jean ones when they got them, but I don't remember seeing any pictures of either. Luvmy4brats posted a pic of her passion vintage iPhone cover a while back, but it would be great to see an actual Kindle cover with it! And I still need to photograph my Sandy Vintage and post it as well. It's a few shades lighter than what shows on the Noreve website. Though I still would like it a bit darker, I'm probably better off with it this way. I think the inherent flaws in the leather and the inevitable scratches from throwing it in my purse simply don't show up as boldly on the Sandy color than on the others.
