Having solved my last problem - or working on it - I am having to slowly, painfully re-download all my content from Amazon, for my new Kindle, because I'm in a no-wireless area for the next seven months.
Only all my content isn't there - it only seems to go back to last September. I bought my first Kindle last April. Where did they hide the rest of my purchased content?

Did you buy them all on the same account?

You're just not having any luck at all, are you? I'd call Kindle Customer Service. I hear great things about them. Good luck!

Nope, I'm not - trying to get the new one up and running so hubby can have the hand-me-down! I'll email CS - calling is a major pain in the butt from here.

PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD. Sometimes all the pages show, sometimes they don't -seems to depend on how Amazon feels at the moment. I finally did get all my books downloaded again Yeesh.

I've seen this on my account, also. I bought my first Kindle over a year ago, and have noticed that SEVERAL of my Amazon purchases are not available for redownload. Some of the purchases are simply gone from the "Manage My Kindle" page when viewing my past purchases by date, and doing a search for that given title is missing the "You already purchased this" notice at the top of the Amazon description page - sometimes this was a title that has had a "revision."
Since I've seen this happen several times, I keep a download backup of all Kindle purchases on my computer. Despite Amazon's promises to keep your archives "forever," I decided to keep my own backup archive, "just in case!"

Mention any of these issues on the amazon thread - like purchases disappearing and they call you paranoid. But I always keep a copy of all my books on the PC.

It really seems to depend on what kind of a mood the Amazon site is in. Sometimes I go in, and it tells me I only have so many pages of purchases and it only goes back so far. Other times, I look and it goes all the way back - maybe they have a server issue. At any rate, they're all on my computer now!
