I know we can expect to see some new Oberon designs any day. My question is: Is there any chance Oberon is considering a changing the wool fabric inside the cover? I'm hoping to see a change to a softer, silkier fabric, such as velour or suede.

Lulucello,
This is my second attempt to post to you because of the undersized server on the forum. Regarding your Oberon insides. If you now have one of their cases, in my opinion the easiest way to change the inside is to take the inner panel from an Amazon Kindle case, remove it, which is very easy. It is merely glued down, and peels off quite easily. Cut the panel in half, and glue it to the inside cover of the Oberon. You can do this right over the pocket that exists on the inside outer cover. I personally do not understand what anyone would use that pocket for

I can't think of a single thing I would keep in it.
I personally think the only thing good about the Oberon cover is the beautiful embossed outer cover. It is heavier than the Amazon cover, and the straps/velcro hold down system is poor compared to the hinges(yes, I know some folks have broken the readers, with the hinge covers, however, that is due to improper opening)
I like the lighter, smaller Amazon cover. This makes the unit much more enjoyable to hold. Especially for those that find it difficult to hold a heavier piece. The shear bulkiness of the Oberon cover adds nothing to the experience. After having said that, I will admit the Oberon is much more elegant, and the thickness of the leather, does do a better job of protecting the reader, should you unfortunately drop it.
If the Amazon case had an attractive designed cover, I probably never would have bought the Oberon. But enough of that, and getting back to your original post; I would use the nice soft, clean inner panel from the Amazon case.
I know everyone will not agree, but that's what is great, we can all do our own personal thing!!
