This information is for anyone who has qualms about ordering directly from Noreve in France.

I placed my order on February 25.  I received confirmation immediately.  On February 26 I received notice that my order would be dispatched within 15 working days.  (If I had ordered the in stock black it would have shipped right away.)

On March 3 I received notice that my order would be dispatched on March 12 (the 11th working day).  Noreve had reserved a tracking number, so I had that even before the package was on its way.

On March 12, as promised, UPS received the package from Noreve.  That was a Friday and the weekend intervened, so the package left France on Monday, March 15.  It arrived in the U.S. on March 16, and was delivered to me this morning, March 17 – the 14th working day.

So, very good service from Noreve.  And UPS gets kudos too.  The package traveled from Marseille to Cologne and was in my hands 24 hours after leaving Cologne, which would be surprising enough if I lived on the east coast  – but I'm in the midwest and I had expected that would add at least another day to the process.

One note: If you order from Noreve-France remember that Europeans write dates with the month first and day second – so my dispatch date of March 12 was written 12/3/10.

Great to hear this news LibbyD! I hope to place a new order with Noreve when they come out with their new Apple ipad tablet cover. I have been very happy with the Noreve black Ambition cover that is presently on my Kindle.

Best Wishes!

Terrific to hear, Libby, thanks!  I know we have a few other KB members who've placed orders with Noreve France, hopefully we'll hear the same good news from all of them.

And one day from Cologne to you?  That's astounding.  UPS definitely deserves kudos for that one!

I was thinking very seriously of ordering one of these...actually had it all but ordered. Then I saw the shipping costs, just over $23...I'm not sure I "need" a Noreve cover that bad!!!! But.....time will tell!    Undecided(

I just ordered a Noreve cover (just before reading Libby's good news.)  I used the code generationmp3 and received a 12% discount.  I've asked that my cover be sent Fedex because I live in Mexico and wasn't sure if UPS would provide a tracking number.  Shipping costs are high, but I guess that's the price I must pay to live here.  I just hope I don't get hit with a big charge from Customs.

Mistyd107:  This time it was an iPod case.  I couldn't in good conscience buy another Kindle cover since I already have several, but of course I already have something in mind for the new Kindle (whenever it comes and if the covers I already have won't fit).

mrskb:  I know -- the shipping is a killer.  But I'm willing to pay it in order to have what I want.

Which one did you buy, and does it match the color shown on their website?

Review and pictures would be nice too.  Grin

The purpose of this post was to let people know that buying from Noreve-France works well.  A review wouldn't have been appropriate for Kindle Boards because what I bought this time was an iPod case.  But if you are interested in those, this is the one: http://www.noreve.com/brand/Apple/product/Housse_cuir_Apple_iPod_Classic_80_-_120_-_7G_160Gb_Tradition.html.  I got red, and it looks just like the 360 degree view.

If you are interested in their Kindle cases there are lots of reviews in the archive here.  Also, if you use this link http://www.noreve.com/brand/Amazon/product/Housse_cuir_Amazon_Kindle_2_-_Kindle_International_Tradition.html and scroll down to the bottom of the page you will find links to professional reviews with very good photos (and lots of them) as well as a video. In general the colors of the swatches on the Noreve site are a little off, at least on my monitor.  However, the red 360 degree photo is accurate -- as it is for the iPod case -- but again that's my monitor.  I have Kindle cases in Perpetual black, red, brown, and olive green.  The brown is what some companies call Saddle or British Tan.  The olive green is very bright -- really more lime than olive.  I also have Ambition Chestnut, which is a very dark chocolate brown.

LibbyD, thank you for the update. I ordered a K2 case on March 12 & so far have received an email on March 15 advising my cover isn't in stock and will be delivered within 15-20 working days. I'm impressed that your iPod case was delivered so quickly once it was shipped.

Thanks for the update!  I had a pending order with Noreve when their USA branch closed and ended up getting another Oberon.  I will have to consider the Noreve-France products in the future.  I'm so glad that you had a great experience and shared it with us!
