I just got finished buying myself a 25.00 Amazon gift card and had a couple dollars left over from a gift card.  I bought this:

and this:

Now I have $7.00 burning a hole in my pocket and I would love to buy another good book.  Yes, I know I could wait til I read what I have, but I love to have good books lined up.

I like mystery, thrillers, biography , sci-fi, historic fiction and just about everything but romance novels.  I love romance mixed into a good book, but not a romance per se.

Anyway, is there any book that can give me a thrill for 7.00?  If so, please suggest one.

Thank you!

I'd recommend the one that was recommended to me: Michael Connelly's first three Harry Bosch novels for $9.99. You get three full-sized novels out of it, even though it is just over your balance. I found a new favorite author out of the deal, and each book took me a while to get through and was absolutely wonderful.

You have $3 left?    How about this:

its a humorous memoir of a first year 3rd grade teacher who just transitioned from Corporate America after a layoff ....  $2.99

$5.19

One of my all-time favorites.  (I looked up several others, but they were all over $7.   Sad)

P.S.  And I second the Harry Bosch recommendation.

Stolen Masterpiece Tracker

A book written by an FBI agent who specialized in recovering stolen artwork.

Since you like mysteries and thrillers, you might go for this, though it would take an extra buck on your $7 gift certificate.  My minireview of it is here:

If nothing else, you'll want to check out the explanation of a foolproof way to make five million dollars.  Really!

Hmmm... Already own the DTB and the Audio. For that price, I'll probably get the trifecta. (and maybe inch him, ever so slowly, to finish the 5th book...)

If you like mystery/thrillers, have you read the Jack Daniels series by J.A. Konrath?  $4.79 for the first one.

And the next three books are available in the same format.  Also $9.99.

This one is written by a Kindle Boards author.  I really enjoyed it and have the sequels on my wish list.  The cost is $5.00.

How can I resist? You can buy the first two books in my series for $3 each, leaving you some change. Dozens and dozens of readers have contacted me saying my novels were stunning or that the ending shocked them. I don't think anyone used the term "knocked my socks off" but close enough.  Roll Eyes

The last book that knocked my socks off was Beat the Reaper by Josh Bazell, but it's not in that price range yet.

The two Harry Bosch books recommended here are not available to US customers.  Stories about a LAPD detective not available.  Sort of un-American  Angry

Huh  They were available until yesterday!!! I just checked and they aren't there now. I bet it's another victim of the new "agency model" pricing agreement that went into effect today. That's a shame, the three-volume bundles were a great deal; I'm glad I got them when I did.

It was still available when I posted it (the 2nd set) - it may indeed be because of the new pricing model.  I too am glad I got them when I did (about 18 months ago!)  Maybe they'll come back without too big of a price increase.
