A quest to solve the mystery of the silver dragon

Hi Everyone,
I found this site through the Kindle Facebook page.
I am a newly published author. My book is a contemporary romance.
If you like your novels sweet without too much heat--mine might be the book to check out!
Wrapped in a Rainbow is about a woman who is thrown a curve in her well-structured life. She decides to act against her usual cautious nature and take a temporary job in the Bahamas. Find out if this plunge into the unknown will be the best or worst decision of her life!
I asked my publisher to reduce the price so that it would be more affordable to everyone. It is currently on sale for $3.19. Hope you check it out!

Hi Kristie,

Thank-you for the welcome. It is much appreciated. (My heroine's name is Kristy!)
Thank-you about the cover--I will let the artist know.
I love how different all your covers are.
What genre of romance do you write? I am always looking for new reading material.

Hi, Delyse,

Welcome to the Kindle boards.  Love your cover!  I've downloaded a sample of your book.  It looks interesting...I've never been to the Bahamas.

Delyse, my Second Chances is contemporary romance/western. It's my latest release. Desert Heat and Cabin Fever (books 1 & 2 of Affairs of the Heart) are sensual romance (menage), and No Lady and Her Tramp is adult romantic comedy. Click on the book covers in my sig line to view them. Hope you enjoy them! Smiley

Hi Donna,
Thank-you very much for the welcome and the nice words about my cover! I hope you enjoy my book--I wish I could escape to the Bahamas again. I haven't been able to get away for a while, although lately I'm yearning to go to new places. I see you are an author also. Your book sounds great-I will definitely check it out.If you have a chance I would appreciate any advice about what helps to promote your book and what to avoid.
Delyse

Hi Kristie,
Wow! I had a chance to click on the book covers. Your books sound awesome. I will definitely check them out. Just like Donna, if you get a chance please give me any advice.
Thanks.

Delyse, I'm pretty new to the indie author adventure, myself.  Take some time to browse the threads.  There are several where fellow authors offer marketing advice.  Everyone here is very supportive.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the welcome. I finally figured out how to do the link to my book ( see below). Yeah!
My romance book is currently on sale for only $3.19. I hope you check it out!

Here is a very nice review it got on Mobipocket:

Wrapped In A Rainbow -  (P Hayward on 23 January 2010)
I have read ‘Wrapped in a Rainbow’ and found it to be an interesting read. It was a visual read as well. I could see, feel and hear the surroundings in Ms. Trinks descriptions of the sights and scenery. As well as feeling the emotional aspects of the characters. It is a very good book that is suitable for all ages. Thank you.

Hi, Delyse, and welcome.  I'm also a new author, and it is definitely a learning process.  Folks have been great on this board, and have made it so welcoming.

Good luck to you,

Hello, Miss Rodrigues!  Welcome aboard.  These boards abound with good advice (be selective though Wink ) and warm, friendly readers and writers of all genres, shapes and sizes.  I love it here and I think you will, too.  I don't usually read romance novels, but when someone comes on here and talks to me, (I avoid the word 'us' so it won't sound like I'm speaking for the board) I usually sample and sometimes I buy no matter what the genre.  So look around and have a good time.  Smiley Brendan

Thanks for the welcome Brendan and T.L. Haddix,
I am really glad to have found this site. Everyone is friendly anf helpful. Lately I've been thinking of self-publishing my next book and maybe this one in print so I started another thread asking if anyone had used Lulu to publish. There has been some interesting feedback. I'd appreciate any tips you have for me.

Delyse--

welcome to KindleBoards and congratulations on your book and your posts!

Well done setting up your cover as your Avatar and adding the book link to your signature.  You might use this one instead, which will give the title of your book instead of showing the whole code:

 [ url=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00313Q1JW?ie=UTF8&tag=kindleboards-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00313Q1JW]Wrapped in a Rainbow[/url ]

and will look like this: Wrapped in a Rainbow

(Copy the code and eliminate the space between the [ and url and the beginning and the end of the code.)

You will probably want to bookmark your thread so that you can find it again to add news to; we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when they have news. Please read the fine print below and the Forum Decorum referenced there.  Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, most of our authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows.  This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles!

Thanks for being part of KindleBoards!  Feel free to PM us if you have any questions.

The fine print:
Please add to your existing book thread when you have news about your book rather than start a new one, it helps the members who are trying to follow you.  You may have a separate thread for each of your books.   We recommend you bookmark your post so that you can find it in the future.  Wink  You may respond to all posts, but if there have been no member posts, we ask that you wait a week before "bumping" the thread by posting back-to-back posts of your own.  And we ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link.  Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead. All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum. From time to time our site rules may change; be sure to check Forum Decorum for the current guidelines and rules. Grin
