Ah, yes, I know what she means. There have been some legendary man/Elf friendships, especially between rulers (Rain was very fond of  Alduinar, the ruler of Tuathas). Orogond and Galador know that they will be separated after death. It is the Elves' hope that all races are reunited upon the 'ending of the world'. Whether this will happen remains to be seen, of course. The only ones who DON'T care are the Dwarves, lord love 'em!

The Elves price for their immortality keeps them in Elysia. The reward of Men for enduring their difficult lives is to be taken into the Light of Aontar after death. The Elves are already manifestations of that Light.

Does that make any sense?
