I thought it was really well done. The acting seemed to me to be a little more "stage-y" than "movie-y" at some points, but overall I thought it was an amazing movie for the budget and staff that they had. I thought the cinematography was brilliant. If you like it you should check out "Flywheel," which was their first movie, and their latest one, "Fireproof."

The acting's not all that bad, to me, considering that no one in the movie is a trained actor. They are all just members of a church.
The only actor even in Fireproof is Kirk Cameron.

That is a great movie. Facing the Giants... it rocks. The same crew also did a another great movie called Flywheel. Of course, there's less action in that one.

That is a great movie! I love the scene where the coach motivates the player to carry his teammate a little further until... I won't spoil it. Truly inspirational!

Yes. I heard others make fun of this awesome movie just because the acting was not as polished as high budget Hollywood acting. But so what. It's a super story.

I love this movie. We have watched it as a family and I have even shown it to my PE classes. They all loved it.

Sherwood Baptist Church produced "Facing the Giants", and they did a wonderful job with volunteer staffing. Almost all the actors were volunteers as well. They get better and better with each release.
Sherwood releases Flywheel Facing the Giants Fireproof Courageous (coming out in 2011)

I saw this movie a while back when I was going through a difficult time. It lifted my spirit in such a way that I wrote a letter to the Baptist church where the director and star of the movie preaches along with an inspirational song I wrote. I did recieve a kind response from his secretary a few months later. If anyone is looking for some inspiration, I would strongly recommend this film!

I didn't realize that the director and star of this awesome movie was a preacher. That's quite interesting.

' Yep, he is a preacher in a Baptist church in Georgia (If memory serves me right.) From what I understand, many of the church members are involved in the productions.
