Has anyone had problems with the Kindle for Mac program syncing their books?  I go to Amazon and tell it to send the book to my mac and it says "successful".  When I open Kindle for Mac and try to sync, nothing is found.  Is there a problem with the program and should I re-download it?

It's certainly worth a try to download the application again. I have not had any issues with it.

The application creates a folder in your Documents folder called My Kindle Content. Check if that folder exists and if there are any files in it. When a book or sample downloads, it goes into this folder.

Gee and I thought it was just me. I can't get it to sync on my either my Iphone or my MAC and yes I have the folder. Not a big deal though, my Kindle is always with me.

Hmm, I haven't had any problems.

I do wish that I could put non-Amazon bought titles onto my Kindle for Mac. Has anyone figured out how to do that?

I've been able to put personal documents onto my Kindle for Mac application. If you email the documents to yourself rather than use the whispernet, you can download the document directly to your computer. Click on the document and it opens in Kindle for Mac. (works the same way with Kindle for PC)

I dont have any non-Amazon documents other than my personal documents that have been Kindleized by Amazon, so I dont know of any way to get books bought from somewhere other than Amazon into the Kindle for Mac (or PC) program.

Wow, can't believe I hadn't thought about that. My non-Kindleized eBooks opened in my usual viewer program, but I don't feel a need to read those in the Kindle for Mac program. So long as I can read on my computer, I'm happy.
