One of the most frustrating things about my Kindle is that I can't keep track of the order of books in a series. I do it on a spreadsheet, but I can't see which book is next on my Kindle menu screen. When I finish a book I can't start another until I can get to my computer. Although I suppose I could turn my spreadsheet into a PDF and send it to my Kindle...

Does 2.5 allow you to edit the book titles? Is there any other way to note the order of books on the Kindle?

Thank you.

2.5 won't let you edit your metadata, but you can do that with calibre. You can edit author and title and put them in order by fiddling with the published date. I did that a few weeks ago and I'm SO happy I finally took the time to do it. All I do is keep the books sorted by author and they fall right into order for me now.

I haven't changed anything on my Kindle, but I might have to check out Calibre. I'd also love to have some different screen savers...

Thanks!

I went to their website and it looks simple enough... but that doesn't mean I'll be able to make it work. If I have any luck, I'll share!

Yeah, I had that trouble too. I'm usually pretty good at picking up new software but I tried and failed at calibre several times before finally biting the bullet and sticking at it till I got it to work. There are still some parts of it that are totally over my head, but I can at least get my authors and titles amended so everything sorts properly and thanks to tips from luvmy4brats I can also keep my notes and sort my series in order too!
