The Kindle is shown in today's Target flyer as being in stock at all Targets. Does anyone know if this is being advertised in markets other than here in Richmond, Va?

Yep, its in my local Target ad today as well.  Which is kinda odd, since I was in Target on Friday, and there was no sign of a Kindle display.  Maybe a trip is in order......like I need a reason to go to Target!  Cheesy

It's in the ad for the DC suburbs as well. I'll have to stop by my local Target and make sure they're displaying it correctly. Wink

It is in today's ad here in Delaware. I was at one of the two Target stores in Delaware yesterday they had the "non" working model out but there were no cases/accessories only a spot for them with price tags.

It is in the ad for the Little Rock area as well, so it must be nationwide if it's here.

My local target has the display, it's the farthest over in electronics that you can be and still be in electronics not camping equipment, and it's noticeable how far away it is from anything like a book.  Hmph.  The display is on an end cap and I don't know if the kindles were in big boxes and just sold out or you have to ask for 'em or what, the only thing on the shelves below were two "dust jacket" things that I wouldn't buy.  They are a cover that has a hard shell inside to hold the kindle and it doesn't look physically possible to get the kindle into the thing without bending one of the two items.

I saw the Kindle on Page 3 of today's paper's Target Ad. I'm  in Dallas (TX).

I'm suspecting that this is a national thing

It's in the Tucson Ad.  I went into one of the Target Stores here in town and saw the Kindle display yesterday.  They had the "Demo" Kindle and a few dust covers (it is a very plain display).  I was able to see the display from down one of the main isles and knew immediately what it was and I didn't see the Sony display and don't know where in the Electronics Dept. it is.  It is nice that they are finally in the Stores, I was so hoping that someone would start looking at the display while I was there but no luck. LOL

Target.com has 2 dust jackets and 2 hard cases for the Kindle, but no Kindle itself.

I just went to mine and it was unplugged and had a dead battery. The salesguy knew nothing about it.

When I left, it was plugged in, functional (demo) and he had a clue.... And KindleBoards address.

She's already got a job being the Mom of 4 mini-dudes and dudettes.

But seriously LM4B should go for a job at Target. Think of the discount.  Cheesy

In the ad and I've seen the display in one of our two local stores here in NW Florida (haven't been to the other one yet).

Kohl's has the Pandigital Novel in today's ad as well for $160 (after a $15 rebate).  It's tempting as a "poor man's iPad", as someone on another thread called it, since they're teaming with B&N for content.  I'd really like to see one in action, though.

Did notice the Target ad in the Sunday paper.

O.K.  To be accurate:  I went and looked for it 'cause I usually ignore the ads in the Sunday paper.  Roll Eyes

Went to Target yesterday to check out the fuss in person:

On display but not functional...Can see text and turn page but that is it.  Can't try the toggle switch or the look up features etc...

Target does sell accessories, Covers, Skins...
