I've been leaving my WN on since April and haven't noticed a terrible decrease in battery time.  However, the last week or so, I'm only getting a day, maybe 2, out of each full charge.  Does anyone have any idea why I would suddenly have such a decrease in battery life?  I have a K2 US and have not gotten the update yet.  Wondering if that may have something to do with it??
Thanks.

Check to see if you have a good signal. If not, the battery will run down much more quickly. It can also be drained if you've downloaded a lot of books or one that's not indexing properly. Try doing a search and at the bottom of the list of results, look to see if it says there are books still indexing. If there is and it's one you've had for a while, try deleting it and re-downloading it.

Also, as a general rule, when you have one of these vague 'something's not quite right' problems, restarting the Kindle can often clear it up - a bit like rebooting your PC.

I have restarted it, but it does not do any good.  Forgive the probably silly question, but how exactly do I do a search to see if something is still indexing?  I've never done so and am not sure how to do it.  Thanks for your help

To search, go to your homescreen and just start typing a word. (Pick a longish word -you'll get fewer results to page through). The search box will appear at the bottom of the screen as you do it. When you've typed the word push the 5-way to the right to highlight 'seach my items' and click on that. When the list of books appear, go to the bottom of the list and if there are any books not indexed it will tell you how many there are. I think you can click on it to see which books but I'm not sure.

I use a nonsense word so there won't be any results Smiley

I actually did just that, typed in a random jumble of letters.  It showed nothing, so I assume that means everything was indexed.  I've since downloaded the update from the website and am charging again.  I'll see how it is after that.  I'm hoping it was maybe somehow related to the update (maybe downloading over time etc.) and will be better since I have it now.
Thanks for all the help.  I just found this board a month or so ago and have learned so much from everyone here.
