Product Description
This literary thriller revolves around Parker Sloane. When he returns from a dismal foray into third-world cash-smuggling to his childhood home in the woods of New England, it seems he’s seeing his country and his blended stepfamily for the first time—and finding both just as twitchy, desperate, paranoid and unpredictable as the underworld types he thought he’d escaped.

Before he can even unpack, Parker goes head-to-head with his relatives—his tyrannical stepfather, seething younger brother, newly evangelical mother, and his alluring younger half-sister Rita—and with the demons they never exorcised.

Delicately but disastrously, Parker attempts to keep his family from imploding, unaware that they have their own plans for escape. The Moon in Deep Winter combines the dark comedy of the Coen brothers with the doomed lyricism of Denis Johnson, creating an airtight world of homicidal family dysfunction.

Okay.  Skins.  I know they look pretty and keep the white cover plastic clean and that is just wonderful.  I also notice they all have cutouts for the little buttons.  Why?  Is there no reason they can't make a skin that while it has pictures is mostly clear (even if it has some color to it) where the buttons are, that covers them up?

What's bugging me is the sneeze.  I clean my computer keyboard once a year and am appalled at all the stuff I find in there, that got in the little spaces.  The spaces around the buttons on the kindle are a LOT smaller, but y'all haven't seen me sneeze.  The m-edge leisure case had a good idea with the plastic cover, now I don't have that protection anymore.

Do you have to punch the buttons out of decalgirl skins?  Can I have 'em with the option to not do that?  I am considering the m-edge skin and just cut the flap off the front (that flap bothers me).  Or I could wrap my kindle up in saran wrap and put it back in my case...

Decal girl without the holes wouldn't be satsfactory...  I think the skins are not flexible enough to let you push keys individually.  Of course, if you never use the keys...  Plus it would look like hell...

I don't like the cut outs either. I have never used the keys on my Kindle. Would be nice to have that option, but it probably wouldn't fit nicely. Would be nice if the Kindle was keyless and instead used a built-in e-keyboard like the ipad. Oooooh... imagine the pretty skins then! The prettiest part of the skin is the back and nobody ever sees the back of my Kindle. It's always (well almost) in a case. Lately, I've been reading everything on my iPad.

If your sneezes are that potent, maybe you should forget the skin and just go for one of the waterproof clear cases that are available?  Wink

I always use my keys.  How else do you search for items on your Kindle or in the Kindle store?
I would hate mine being covered.

How about a case that is skin-like, but covers the keyboard and side buttons entirely?  Only the 5-way has an opening.

Someone on here tried it when it first came out, not too long ago.  Search older threads...

Beat me to it!  yep, don't sneeze into your hand, use your arm.  I use my shoulder as my hands are usually in sterile gloves when I have to sneeze.  That is usually when my phone rings also Roll Eyes Cheesy

Maybe your sneezes are as powerful as a compressed can of air.  You can sneeze out the stuck debris between those Kindle keys.

Or keep a travel pack of tissue nearby at all time. Maybe they can make a case for you with a side tissue dispenser!  Grin
