Lots of good advice!!  I should explain that I'm a new Kindle owner... so I have that 'fever' commonly associated with just getting your kindle.  I do have loads of samples on my Kindle.... and try to knock one sample off the list a day and decide whether I'd like to buy it or take it off my Kindle wish list.  I get any free books that interest me, so I'll never be short of reading material.  It's just so addicting!

I've done my collections as well, I have a 'samples' folder, as well as a 'freebies' folder.  Then I have a few more for my favorite authors.  Those are the ones that are putting my 'one click finger' to the test!  lol

I do think I'm going to try the gift card approach.  With an 'X' amount of money on it each month... at least until I get a hold of my spending habits.  I'm no where near causing real damage to my bank account.... but those clicks add up very quickly!

I know what you mean, Perryluvr-

On accident, I bought two more books  today Wink
Not like I don't have a "virtual stack" of to-read books waiting for me.
I have plenty stored up--not to mention the free samples I haven't looked at yet.

Is there a 12-step program for Kindle-holics?

I have set up my collections with to be read and read as the lead in to my categories. It does make it a great deal easier to not buy something when I look at my to be read categories and see the number of books sitting there.

I download samples and then keep the ones I like ready to get the book when I finish the one I'm on. Having said that I have a book queue waiting for me - heavenly!

This is what I've started doing.  When I'm ready for my next read, I go to the list of samples I've downloaded (usually 10-15 at any one time) and start reading.  If I'm "into" the story by the time I reach then end of the sample, I download the book.  If not, I'm on to the next sample.  Works great!

The Peace Warrior Trilogy

Six hundred years after his death, a soldier's body is retrieved from the arctic lake
where he perished.  Reanimated by science, the warrior awakens to a civilization that
has abolished war, outlawed violence, and cherishes Peace above all else.  It is also
a civilization that has been enslaved by an alien race called the Minith.

Armed with a new body and the skills of an ancient soldier, he must be the...
Peace Warrior.
