Product Description
Fishing’s Greatest Misadventures presents twenty-six true stories which cover the spectrum from terrifying to comical to downright bizarre. In these pages everyday fishermen, pros, and journalists tell their stories of freak accidents, fishy attacks, pranks, idiotic decisions, eerie or unexplained incidents, and other jaw dropping, adrenalin-pumping calamities. The stories bring to life the strange possibilities that await us once we cast our lines into known and unknown waters.

* An adventure angler whose boat is over turned by a 200 lb Amazon-river catfish.

Hello my long lost friends.
I have been off group for a long time.
Lots of "stuff" going on...

But bottom line, I just ordered up the new Kindle DX.
I think I will be happy with the larger screen size and hence less page turns.

I kinda figure I might be in need of some guidance so thought I would stop in and say "Hey!"

My DX should be here late Tuesday afternoon.
I have the Kindle 2 which I think I should now sell. Hmmm....

Hope some of you all remember me.

Sincerely,
Eric (The dog trainer guy in CT USA)

Eric, Good to have you back.  I certainly remember you every day as I look at my Oberon cover charm we traded!

Did you get the graphite DX?  Kindlewatch is always fun.  I have never been on kindlewatch as my still-going-strong K1 was a gift I had no idea was coming in 2008.  If the rumored K3 is a smaller version of the graphite DX, I will upgrade as soon as possible.

A book, I think, is very like a little golden door.
That takes me into places where I've never been before.
It leads me into fairyland or countries strange and far.
And, best of all, the golden door always stands ajar. - Adelaide Love

Thank you Crebel. I am so pleased you remember the charm swap!
Yes I got the DX in Graphite, I think now it is the only DX available
of course I ordered and overpriced Amazon cover with it for protection.

But will look for something "nicer" once I have my unit.

My K2 was also a gift. But it was time to upgrade to a bigger screen (that is my thinking)
I want to read more and turn pages less!

Hopefully this new K wil rejuice my interaction around here as well.

So nice to hear from you!

Eric, welcome back! I've missed you!

Congratulations on the new DX. I am sure you will love it.

I am still happily reading on my 15 month old K2. I also read books on my iPhone, iPad, and laptop using the Kindle app, but I have to say, I still like my Kindle best.

Are you still drinking Keurig coffee?

Not only I still drink K cup coffee, I upgraded to a
Breville machine. Currently top of the line brewer.

Then we had a fall storm, lost power for 6.5 days
and my brewer got fried (so did lots of stuff)... I went and bought another one ASAP

The Breville, is quieter (much), heats up faster and drips less at the end of the cycle.

I will report in on the Kindle watch thread maybe Monday, mine is due Tuesday.

Thank you for missing me.

WOW Sure glad I didn't see that it was still available...
I might have gotten an ulcer trying to decide.

Graphite will be hip, but of course it will get the Decal Girl treatment mighty soon!

Thank you for the welcome,
Eric

Good to see you here again!  From all reports, the screen on the new DX is even better than the old one - so you should be pleased with your choice.

After reading for 30 minutes or so you will be sold on the DX. In my opinion it is by far the best ereader on the market.

Good to see your name pop up.  I've had a DX US since late last year and love it and with the graphite and new screen, you will have a sure winner on your hands.
