Yay!! We got a thread!

Just started the adventure now.

*SPOILER* :

I have to laugh of Fima sometimes, I like him! Especially when he tells stories. It's kind of cute how he presents everything his own way. And I loved him when getting Gaelen to take that oath!
I just like Fima Even more now..

What do you guys think of Fima? Smiley

Well, I'm sure you've guessed that he's one of my favorites. I have always liked Dwarves but thought they got the 'short end' (ahem!) in many fantasy epics. I wanted to show one who was every bit as entertaining, interesting, and likable as any Elf! Fima, like Gaelen, goes against the stereotype. In my opinion, that's when characters are the most interesting.  Smiley

Hi!

Inghild, sister to Winter Smiley

Thank you for the book, I love it! We have been reading a lot today. I'm halfway through. It's so exiting!
I love your drawings too! Especially the horses and the brooch.

Hope you are well.

(my computer doesn't work, I send from Winter's. Don't know
why)

Inghild:

(Bows in greeting) Wonderful to meet you! So glad you and Winter can read together. Half-way through, eh? Well, things are just about to get exciting! I hope you can join us more often--I hate it when my computer doesn't work.  Tongue

Talk to you soon!

Welcome Inghild -- glad to have you around.  This is a nice place to be.  I envy you and Winter -- having someone close to talk to while you are reading Elfhunter and Fireheart at the same time.

Half way through -- that means you probably need to prepare yourself for some sleepless nights now -- its about to get really REALLY exciting and really hard to put down.  I kept finding myself saying "Just a little more, I'll read just a little more, I have to find out what's happening, just a little more...." and the next thing I knew it was after midnight and I have to get up at 4:30 for work!!

Welcome aboard, Inghild!  Fireheart is an awesome finish, but (hint, hint) you will VERY definitely want to go straight to Ravenshade after finishing, so brace yourselves (you too, Winter :-)) for an incredible journey.  The characters and the story just get better and better.

Make sure to let us know as you progress, ok?  Have fun!!!

I'm back home and my sis is with my mom.

I love dwarves!! And I love the humor in the book. I laugh often!

I find that the book progress' faster than Elfhunter did. It's like I started with Elfhunter and with every page it gets better, and now in book two it's almost impossible to put it down. But I haven't had much time for reading these days.

Dwarves are cool!
Just wait till book three -- it just keeps on getting better and better in my opinion.

Good morning!

Getting better and better...that's what we writers LOVE to hear. It is as it should be.
I've been contemplating going back and re-writing the first few chapters of Elfhunter, to put what I have learned since to good use. What do you guys think?

My opinion --

Classics cannot be improved!

You can re-write if you wish but I saw absolutely nothing wrong with the beginning of it as it stands -- it flows well and hooks the reader well.

AND -- I'm particularly selfish!!  Wink
I'd much rather you be writing a new one than re-writing one I've traveled through!  Shocked Shocked

Nah. You already have it in print, so I think no. Put what you have learned into use in your next book instead. You are an awesome writer, so you have nothing to worry about! Elfhunter is great! It's more the fact that Fire-Heart is incredibly awesome, and that is exactly as it should be, getting more and more thrilling AS you get further into the story..Smiley

30% into it! (or a little more 33)

(spoilers)

I was a little worried there for a while. It's difficult to survive in the desert.
I was relieved when they found Dona's real identity. I thought about Nelwyn and Galador.

Now, time to get up!
I have plenty to do today. I will tell a testemony (is that right?) in church today. Kind of nervous! I have to practice a little bit..

Hahaha Eros is so cool! Reminds me of my own animals!

I'm getting a little worried about Nelwyn now. I imagine the reward for turning down Sahid might be cruel :/

Winter, the "wisdom" of wisdom teeth is having them taken out.   Wink  I had all 4 of mine removed at one time when I was about 17 years old.  Not very much fun at the time, but no pain from them now either.  Good luck and I hope you're feeling better soon.

Winter and Brew:

All four of my wisdom teeth came in perfectly and in an orderly manner. Please don't hate me...
(They ARE a pain in the neck to floss, though.)
