For Christmas 2008 I got a K1. I have rearly put my K1 down since I recieved it. I think I would get more school work done if my text book was available on K1. Well 2 weeks ago I recieved my new K2 for my birthday. I gave my K1 to my mother. I put the Southern Vampire series on it and she is halfway thru the second book since Friday. She really likes it. She now knows why I could not put is down. She is totally addicted. She says it is easier for her to hold. I think I may work to save and get her the DX for Christmas.

Hmm I am thinking she might think that she might think you spending money on yet another kindle for her benefit is a waste of money since she is perfectly happy with hers.

I'm not saying *I* think its a waste, but often parents think this way.

Yep, we do think that way so if she doesn't want it you get to keep it. It's a win-win situation. Smiley

You're a good daughter.

Sounds like she is happy with the K1, and she might not like the DX.  Why
not get her an Amazon gift certificate so she can buy books? (That's what
I'd like, and I'm a mom!)
