... and my heart has grown fonder.
Mrs. Zero Newbury died in November - she who coined the GeekBook(tm) name. I'm just now getting back to things like reading and such.
I wanted to get the 2.5 update, but had installed the font hack. I knew I could find out here how to go about making the update work.
Is there a thread with reactions to the update? Are people installing a new font hack over the update?

Welcome back, and I'm so sorry for your loss.
There are several threads about the update in Tips, Tricks and Troubeshooting.
I wasn't sure exactly which ones might be the best to link. Someone else may have a better suggestion.

Sorry to hear about the Mrs. . . .but glad to see you back. . . .Go to any post by NogDog and click the link for his KindleMinds blog. . .that's probably going to be the fastest way to find the uninstall files you need. . . .but, as deb said, there are a number of threads in the Tips and Tricks forum. . . . . .
I always thought GeekBook is a GREAT Kindle name!

Aww, cheeezz, guys. I wasn't looking for the sympathy stuff, but thanks a bunch. I really enjoyed this forum during the hard times' like-minded literary gadget freaks with a passion - what's not to like? So it's great to be back.
How do I edit the text that appears under the infamous pony?
