Apologies if this is old news, but just noticed I now have a Kindle listed in my 'Manage Your Kindle' page on Amazon.co.uk!  Grin

Could this mean Kindle's might get dispatched earlier than we're expecting?

Mine has been there for a couple days and I think with the K2 it was the same -- option showed up well in advance.

My new girl is Willow Rosenberg and Trixie Lovejoy is  being rehomed with a friend.

I'm in the UK too and knowing my previous kindles all showed up more or less the day I ordered them I've spent the last week in correspondence with Kindle CS trying to find out why this one wasn't showing up either on the US or UK sites. I finally had a email from UK CS saying it would appear on their page, but not until it was ready to ship. Two hours later it turned up on the US page. Go figure, as our US friends say.... Roll Eyes

Isn't Willow Rosenberg from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or do I have my Willow's wrong?

Wake me when they release the Kindle 9 (K9).

I've been playing with "Manage My Kindle" for a couple of days using Kindle for PC and Android Kindle.  My K3 wasn't on that page yesterday, but today it is.

How can you register/de-register a Kindle if it's still three weeks away from being shipped?   Huh

For many of us the new Kindle showed up within 24 hours of ordering.  I still don't expect to see it before release day.

BUFFY RULES!!!

Also my K3 has been on the manage your kindle page pretty much since the day I ordered it. And the last couple of books I ordered on-line, were sent to my K3. They were just pending delivery, so I had to go to the drop down list and send them to my current K2.

It showed up on mine too.  I wonder if you want it delivered to the K3 it will preload before shipping?

Yep, both of the ones I ordered showed up within the hour after I placed the orders. I had some fun sending books to DH's first Kindle Wink (even though I know they won't "arrive" until I connect them to the WiFi)

Ditto. How frustrating is it to see your new K3 registered on your Amazon page and know you are still weeks away from actually holding it?  Sad

My understanding is if it is showing up on your "manage your kindle" page then you will be getting one on the date that was posted when you ordered. I ordered on the 4th and the shipping date was on or before Sep 4.  The next day preorders were listed on the preorder page as Sep 8. Now there is no shipping date listed.

You have the right Willow.

I think it took my husband 4 guesses to get it. The first guess was Buffy. Cheesy

Richcb, my compliments on your avatar choice.

Right back at you, sir.  Cheesy I'm very much in Holmesian mode at the moment. I'm re-re-reading the short stories via Kindle on my iPhone and thoroughly enjoying the BBC TV series Sherlock, which has been a massive hit this summer. It's a brilliant spin on the classic treatment. Sadly it comes to an end tomorrow (Sunday) night after only three episodes. More next year I hope.

Ditto.  I'm going through a Holmes phase, too.  I'm still in two minds about the current BBC series but I've recently been watching all manner of different interpretations from Eille Norwood (1921) to Ronald Howard (1954) right up to the current BBC version.  My iPod is filled with Holmes audiobooks and many episodes from the various radio series.  And I'm working on some of the free Holmes books on Kindle for Android (I want my K3!!!).

I should be in Holmes-overload, but I'm not..!
