Kindle DXi Screensaver Hack Uninstall

Well I'm packing up my old Kindle DXi to return to Amazon, I was wonder if I need to remove the screen saver hack?  If yes, I'm sort of having problems.  I have the original uninstall file that came with my hack, but no matter what I keep getting an update failed.  Rather the update completes, but it still says SS0.3 at the end.  I think I may have done a bit of a boo boo by uninstalling the "jailbreak" first.  Would that cause the problem I'm seeing now?

A single backslash prevented the old uninstall scripts from removing the version tag. This has been fixed, and the new uninstall scripts work as expected. I'm sure I'll get a million people yelling during the next official update, however. oh well.
