If only I were a famous writer, than maybe this would make sense. But alas, I am only a book reader, and an infamous board poster, so don't think it should be done. But it was a kind thought.

I think the next level should be Isaac Asimov. From Wikipedia: Asimov was one of the most prolific writers of all time, having written or edited more than 500 books and an estimated 9,000 letters and postcards. His works have been published in nine of the ten major categories of the Dewey Decimal System (the sole exception being the 100s: philosophy and psychology).

Read the newest one -- Lonely is the Soldier -- it's detailed but also fast-moving, and a good read. (And much shorter than Treasure, so you'll have more time for writing a review. )

Thanks. If you're so inclined, I'd be just as happy if you sent me a PM to tell me what you thought. I don't think I've ever had the book covers in my signature.

You used to, Jeff, long long long ago. Or maybe it's just that they were bigger in the rotating avatar and could actually be *seen*...

You're right about the avatar, Steph, but (I think) the only graphics I ever used in the signature block were Book Klubs or a Kindle Owner bar. The old avatar was rotating book covers. The current avatar is a tribute to Dona.

I get in trouble even when I didn't mean anything. Maybe I should start color coding my posts, black for normal comments and maroon for snark?

Sure, but how many of them wrote or edited over 500 books, in 9 out of 10 possible Dewey Decimal categories? We're not talking quality here, just quantity.
