Here are some suggested levels:
[ ] - 1 star - less than 50 posts [ ] - 1 star - 50 or more [ ] - 2 stars - 100 or more [ ] - 3 stars - 250 or more [ ] - 4 stars - 500 or more [ ] - 5 stars - 1000 or more
Help me fill in those blanks! We can call them anything we want, but let's limit it to 20 characters or less.
How about: Kindle Freshman Kindle Sophomore Kindle Junior Kindle Senior Kindle Master Kindle Ph.D.

At first Ford had formed a theory to account for this strange behavior. If human beings don't keep exercising their lips, he thought, their mouths probably seize up. After a few months' consideration and observation he abandoned this theory in favor of a new one. If they don't keep on exercising their lips, he thought, their brains start working.

So if we choose 'authors' do we get to have another poll with all sorts of author suggestions?! I have a feeling this is going to be good....

If 'Authors' wins, I'm sure we'll have some spirited discussions about which authors should be represented there!!

You have the stars which show how many posts a poster has made. Of course, the actual number of posts is listed anyway *shrug* Never understood the heirarchy thing on messageboards where # of posts raises you to a different level/name/number of stars. Some people say very little, but add more to a board than some who post many posts daily, yaknow? So why not just let the number of stars tell another member whatever they need to know, if you feel that's necessary, and let us do our own custom titles that we feel fit us personally. There's more than one way to Skinderella a Cat , but that's more than 20.

There was a default system that progressed you as you hit certain milestones, but you could modify that in your settings to replace it with anything you wanted.

Just a suggestion about various member status methods. I see some boards have something called cookies, where if you see a good tip, you can give another person a cookie for the tip. More cookies = higher quality of posts. This solves the problem of lots of posts, but not really high quality that Kindlecat was talking about.
Can you add that, or at least consider it? I always thought it was a great feature that allowed me to personally thank members.
