There are a few Kindle books I want to buy from Amazon, but I'm waiting for the price to drop. Does anyone know if there is a particular day of the week this usually happens, or is it totally random?

I would like to know this too as I didnt know that they even went down in price.
It is funny that I never looked at the price of a hard back book before I would buy it but I complain about the prices going from $9.99 to $12.99 on Kindle.

No, it doesn't show prices, but if I sort by price, anything that comes down really far tends to show up on the first page. I have a bookmark set on my wishlist, which is sorted by price, and I click on it at least once a day. Four books on my wishlist hit the first page last week, and they dropped down to $3.99 or less. There are also price aggregating websites you can use, like Jungle Search, that will email you when a price has dropped.... I've tried a few of them, but the wishlist sort is working fine for right now. |

I can't speak for authors that have signed with publishing houses, but indy authors set their own prices and have the ability to change them whenever we want. Since most of us have day jobs, I suspect those price drops might happen on weekends when we have time to manage our sales. Happy reading!

I *think* you can also set up a listmania list (which I think you can also make visible to everyone or not) and then you can keep track of your list.
To find out which books will go down in price...takes some serious tea leaf reading skills...
