I got this email from Amazon today and I need to reply back to them before they will release my book for sale
Dear Publisher,
Thanks for using Amazon DTP! We look forward to bringing your titles to the Kindle store, but before we do so, we just need a few quick things regarding these titles:
Then they had my title and ID number here.....
Then there was this part---If the titles are public domain works, please reply back confirming this and include the information you used to make this determination for each title, which must include the following information. If the title is a collection of works, this information is required for each individual work:
1. The initial publication date of the works
2. Each author(s) and translator’s first and last name and dates of death
3. Provide the URL to the online resource(s) used, which contains this information
If any of the title(s) are not public domain works and you have the rights necessary to distribute them on the Kindle store, please state that in your reply and include any documentation you have of your rights.
If you have any questions regarding the review process, you can write to us at
title-submission@amazon.com. Please send all other inquiries to
dtp-support@amazon.com.
This was in my email today
The title of my books is: Empath The Collected Ghost Stories Of Nick Crowell: Paranormal Detective
Now are they having a problem with the name Empath?
Or a problem with one of the nine titles of the stories within?
It doesnt seem too clear to me
BUT--- as far as I am aware, NONE of the titles in the book OF the nine stories are public domain
I thought up the stories, i thought up the titles and I own all available rights for the collection
Anyone know what this email means ?
I am thinking its just a legality concern and they need my official reply so they can sign off on the book
I am not sure so I came here to see if i could get an answer or two
Thanks so much guys
