I like that.

No, I haven't thought of one yet. I need a female name that will show up before Eleanor on my list of Kindles (I need to be first, otherwise I'll always be sending samples and books to my Mom's Kindle.

I've been toying with Jim. Most names seem to be girl names, but my grandfather was an avid avid reader, and I was inspired by him as a reader, and by someone else who named their Kindle after their grandfather...so, I believe it will be Jim.

Please.... don't.

At first Ford had formed a theory to account for this strange behavior. If human beings don't keep exercising their lips, he thought, their mouths probably seize up.
After a few months' consideration and observation he abandoned this theory in favor of a new one. If they don't keep on exercising their lips, he thought, their brains start working.

I was thinking Hitsuki (kindling in Japanese) or Almondine (the faithful dog in Edgar Sawtelle)

Barcardi Jim...so sorry to offend...would you like it better if I said Jem, like from To Kill a Mockingbird? That is my second choice, and something I am ok with!

Love the idea of K2 which is how I keep referring to it but it's official name is Knit4Keeps (although I'm pretty sure I'll be shortening it to K4K).

I'm naming my Kindle Jazzman, after our beloved Cocker Spaniel who we had to put down 1-1/2 yrs. ago.  We had him 14 yrs. and then he became very ill with cancer.  We did all we could for him until the inevitable.  His name was Jazz.

Mine's "the symbol formerly known as K's Kindle #4" - because I want it at the top of the alphabetic list when sending samples and downloads (nearly any symbol works - add the rest of the name after that; I have the main account, but kept sending samples and books to the wrong Kindles before I renamed mine to appear first).

I've always wanted to know how to pronounce that.  It never quite rolled  off my tongue, but now I have another book to go download (so does it really matter?)
