Same time exchange for faulty kindle?

I've raised an issue with Kindle support about my K3 (i have two horizontal lines on the display)

If they replace it will they expect mine back first or will they send one out first or do a direct swap?

They usually send you a replacement and after you get it, you send the defective one back in the box the replacement came in.  I just did that with my K2.  I was told I had 30 days to send in the bad one before they charged my card.

I'm in the process of returning my K3 and receiving a replacement.  Amazon is already shipping me a replacement (I can view it as shipping soon in "my account" open orders).  I've received an email with a link to a prepaid mailing label I can print out for my return, and the email states that if I don't return the Kindle in 30 days I'll be charged for a second Kindle.

You should be golden, and not be Kindle-less.

Just keep in mind, they do a check on your credit card and if you dont return the bad one, they will charge you.

Yes i just hoped for an overlap as i didn't want to be without now i've finally got an ereader

I got my replacement yesterday and have 30 days to ship my original K3 back.  Great customer service.
