It can be a problem when you're dozing and open your eyes to see Emily Dickinson staring at you....No way I’m turning out the light then!

At least it's not Oscar Wilde... He seriously gave me the creeps!

But at least now with the new Amazon cover, the light turns off when the Kindle goes to sleep.. Then I don't have to look at them!

For those of you like me that fall asleep while reading, I HIGHLY recommend a Peeramid pillow. They keep your Kindle reasonably safe. (Except for the one time when my K2 fell off the pillow, got covered with a blanket and I sat on it... But in 2 years of using the peeramid, that's only happened once....)

I never thought about that aspect of the lighted cover, that's cool! =)
