It arrived today, waiting for me as I got done with my E.R. shift tonight - having gotten the e-mail confirmation of delivery, I couldn't wait to get home!

I carefully opened the SMALL package from USPS, took out my Graphite 3G/WiFi K3, and plugged it in. First thought was "this thing is REALLY tiny, thin and light!" The screen is the same size, but LOOKS larger, since the plastic bezel is now so much comparatively smaller.

After powering it up, I was literally stunned by how much better the screen is on this compared to my K2! The type is dramatically sharper, with the background lighter, and overall MUCH easier to read, even at the smallest type size! Even the screensaver pictures "pop" with sharpness and definition, and sleep/awaken is instantaneous! The page turn speed is FAR faster, and I find that I now have to WAIT to click the page forward button until I actually finish reading the page, instead of hitting the page forward early to avoid the wait on my K2! And, the page turn button clicks are now almost silent - I didn't realize how much you could hear the K2's button clicks until now!

Now, I've only had time to download a couple of books on the K3, just to try it out, (I work 12 hour shifts through Labor Day, so I'll have to wait until Monday night to transfer everything from my K2.) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't have the "freeze" problems, or some other problem develop - I'm not always the lucky one in the group on defects! But my first impression is that "THIS is the Kindle I've been waiting for!!!"

WOW!!!!!

Uh-oh, are you telling me that in about 2 weeks (knock on wood) I'll be suffering from premature pagination again?  Shocked  Grin
