So DG shipped my package last week. Idiot me did not chose priority mail (I do not know what the heck I was thinking..UGH!). Original info on delivery confirmation showed accepted in Delaware and shipped 16th. No other updates until last night when all the sudden ALL of the info on it being accepted in DE (the 16th!) was REPLACED by Electronic Shipping info received San Diego and then Accepted at San Diego on Sept. 21st.

What the heck? How does a package Delivery confirmation all the sudden change shipping and acceptance from one side of the country to the other? What happened to the DE info??

I called DG and they said if I don't get it by end of NEXT WEEK they would send me another (that's October 1st). The USPS has no explanation as to why the info changed all of the sudden and cannot "confirm or deny" that maybe the label number was re used or something.

I'm left wondering if someone else got my package by mistake and brought it back to the post office? The weird thing is that the zip code of the post office where it says "accepted" is not even REMOTELY close to my house..on the whole other side of the city and I live in San Diego!

I'm so frustrated. This is the only thing I'm waiting for...MORAL of the story - choose UPS or another method instead of regular USPS shipping for DG. I never had a problem when I used Priority mail from DG...just this cheaper regular...awful!

Anyone who had DG replace a lost item...was it easy or am I gonna have a problem? I'm tempted to just re order a new one priority and then ask them to refund the other late. (because it will be here LONG before the other one if I have to wait a whole other 8 days!) It shouldn't take 12 business days to get a DG shipment!

So.. Is it possible that it was 'accepted' at another post office or package facility and will soon be on its way to you?  Since it doesn't say it is 'delivered' then it is still in the process of getting to you.  I think that typically when you track a package with the Delivery Confirmation, it pretty much only shows that it left a facility and then is delivered to you.  However, other times, the package is actually scanned at different locations along the route.   I've had packages be scanned all along the way... to Sioux Falls, SD, Fargo, SD, to my post office and FINALLY as delivered to me.

I'm not a betting sort of person, but I'd guess your skin will show up tomorrow (or maybe Friday). Smiley

USPS tracking is never accurate for me.  It shows where it starts and then it shows as delivered.  You may still get that cover, so I would wait a bit before ordering another one.  I wouldn't be surprised if you get it tomorrow.

I'd give it another couple of days. USPS tracking is awful! That being said, I always use the cheapest shipping when I order from DecalGirl and haven't had a problem. Then again, I only live about 90 minutes from them so it doesn't have too far to go.

If for some reason you don't get it, DecalGirl will take care of you. Their customer service is fantastic.

I've ordered several skins from Decal Girl, they ship from Delaware to me in Kentucky.  Seems a lot of times my order ships on Monday, because I place a lot of orders over the weekend, I guess.  Anyway, when they ship me an order via regular USPS delivery on Monday, I get it on Thursday.  One time I was anxious and wanted it sooner and selected the Priority shipping, well, guess what, it shipped on Monday and I still got it on Thursday!  Taught me a lesson, so from them I always just choose the regular USPS shipping, and I've never had a problem.

I'm still going to wait. Clearly I have a patience problem...but I just never anticipated the amount of delay it would cause. Next time it's priority mail all the way!

And one of my friends said it may be the item was damaged..because the zip code that is listed as the "acceptance" zip code is for San Diego's main post office...and my mail normally doesn't register there (mine goes to the North county hub)..so she said maybe it was damaged and got sent to the regular huge p.o. for processing...and that it will likely show up somewhere..someday

It's been an awful day...I got my Oberon and promptly cut my finger on the little metal prongs inside trying to get the bungee out to put the charm on. I cleaned it fine but it was a pain literally!

Well after MUCH HOOPLA lo and behold they "found" the item sitting there at the main post office. They wouldn't give me other details other than it should be in my mailbox today. I'll post up when I get home and figure out if it's in o.k. shape and all that.

I wonder what would have happened if I never called?
