Great news! My publisher just lowered the price on my first Fay Cunningham mystery A Dangerous Woman to $1.99 for the kindle. I don't expect that price to remain for long. Here's a blurb for the book: Fay Cunningham is in a foul mood when the story begins. But you can't really blame her. She's chilled to the bone and starving for a meal loaded with fat. So when Mitchell Malone, the former police chief, rudely reminds her of why she's peddling newspapers door-to-door, she wants to tell him where he can go. But when Mitch tells her who turned up dead that morning, she looks to him for help instead. Thanks for letting me share. Debra

Debra-- Welcome to KindleBoards and congratulations on your book! (If you've gotten this welcome before, it's just as a matter of housekeeping. We like to put a copy of the "welcome letter" in each book thread. It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, it just helps us know that you know the rules.) A brief recap of our rules follows: --We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your profile signature. --Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information. You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice). --While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days. Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then. --We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link. Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead. --Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows. This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles! Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post. All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,36.0.html. Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules. Oh, and one more thing: be sure to check out the index threads at the top of the Book Bazaar. . . .there are details there about how you can be listed so that our readers can find you. Thanks for being part of KindleBoards! Feel free to send us a PM if you have any questions. Betsy & Ann Book Bazaar Moderators

Okay, how's this Dave?
Calm. Remain calm. Breathe deeply. You'll get there. So how come I doubted the voice that was whispering inside my head? Suddenly headlights gave me another blast from behind. I had no way of knowing if it was the same vehicle from minutes before, but I had a hunch it was.
Don't panic. Stay calm. Don't let your imagination run wild. Then came. Don' slow to a stop again.Hit the gas and get this buggy moving.Which is exactly what I did. I was moving, and so was the vehicle behind me.
Adrenaline rushed through me, zapping at my nerve endings and pounding into my flesh. My foot came off the accelerator a split second before I went into a spin.

Lock your doors and turn on all the lights. A murderer is on the loose in central Pennsylvania's Susquehanna Valley. Or was it murder? Fay Cunningham, newspaper publisher, is determined to find out.
Having taken a leave-of-absence from her newspaper, The Susquehanna Valley Daily, Fay is determined to lose weight, quit smoking, and completely turn her life around. As part of her new regime, she took on the task of delivering newspapers on foot. All is well - until she attempts to deliver a newspaper to her godfather, Joe Wise, and is met at the door by a mysterious young blonde.
Who is the young woman barring the doorway, and where is Joe? Will Fay's friend and mentor, Mitch Malone, help her uncover the truth? Surely, Joe didn't fire Ethel, his elderly housekeeper, in favor of some young slip of a gal? The answers to all these questions and others that will arise can be found in the pages of "A Dangerous Woman."
My publisher hasn't increased the kindle edition price yet. So if you're interested A Dangerous Woman is still available for $1.99.
Enjoy! Debra

Debra, I've merged your latest post with your existing thread for this book. Please review the welcome letter above, as well as our Forum Decorum (linked therein): You may have just one thread per book. You should save this thread as a 'favorite' in your browser so you can find it again.
