I just stumbled on this message thread.  If anyone is interested, I set up two daily Bible readings on Feedbooks.  These URL's may be entered directly into the Kindle's Web browser.
http://www.feedbooks.com/newspaper/7796.mobi
http://www.feedbooks.com/newspaper/3832.mobi

The first is for the KJV, and the second is for the NKJV.  They download as Kindle books and the cover page of each has a link to download the next days reading.
