You have an error in that sentence also.  It's is a contraction for "it is" - its is the possessive of the pronoun it. Sorry, that's one that jumps out at me (along with you're/your and they're/their/there). Andra |

I catch it about 80% of the time, but some slip through, much to my embarrassment. |

I've gotten so lousy at typing since I retired that I bought an aftermarket interactive spelling checker. It's configurable for each application and can catch simple grammar mistakes. Best of all, it can auto-correct my most common spelling mistakes. It can even take those acronyms such as YMMV and automatically expand them, if required. I'd be lost without it now.

Yes and yes. Oh, you want to know how! Go to the top of the page and click profile -- you can open in a new tab or window if you want so you can still read these directions -- not that they're hard. I'm doing that to give them to you. Under 'modify profile' at the left you can make various changes. The section that deals with what you want to do is the one called 'look and layout preferences'. 'Return to topics after posting' will keep you from getting kicked out when you reply 'show most recent post at the top' will, well, show the most recent posts at the top Remember to click 'change profile' after you make changes. Click around all you want and see how things work. . .you can't break it and you can always put it back the way it was. Changes should take effect immediately in the tab/window you have open. Next time you refresh any KB window the changes will take effect there. Good luck! Ann |
