Can you paste the llnk here so I can see what the problem is?  Are you using link-maker (top menu group, next to Home)?

Christopher, I did check the link-maker, and the cover is indeed not showing up.  Do you have a link to the cover on your website?  We can create a cover using an image from somewhere else.

Sorry, Christopher, for not getting back to you last night; usually, I'm up much later, but fell asleep just after 11 pm ET... Smiley

The link you gave me won't work, as the image is embedded within the album widget or software.  We need a direct link to the image that ends in .jpg, .png or other graphic extension.

However, during the night, link-maker straightened itself out--so give it another try!

Trying to call up my eBook (Off the Grid: A Gerrit O'Rourke Novel) on Amazon to convert it to a link code here on Kindle Boards. I found the link on Amazon, pasted it into your search engine, and click. The search comes up empty. I have asked Amazon to find out if there is a problem on their end. Can you tell me what I need to do to clear this up. I want my recent eBook link to appear when I post on this site, along with my other novel, REVENGE: A Travis Mays Novel. Here is the link on  Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Off-Grid-Gerrit-ORourke-ebook/dp/B006OD215O/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1325190911&sr=1-1

Thanks

I think you were trying too hard. Smiley  Go to the link-maker and just type the title into the field. . .no punctuation and you don't need to worry about capitals.  I actually used only "off the grid". . .got several results as there are a number of 'survivor' books about living off the grid, but yours was one of them.  Then you just click 'select' to highlight the link code you want depending on whether text or image and how large an image and then copy it from there to paste it here.

And since I've done the work. . .you can further simplify things by just 'quoting' this post and then copying the code above so you'll have it to put into your signature. Cheesy

I did everything you said, copied and pasted my three books. Now to see if they come up in a post. Here goes!

The preview doesn't show them. What am I doing wrong?

Do  please read the tutorial, but the short answer is to copy the text into your Forum Profile Signature:

Profile in the blue top menu bar here > Forum Profile Information  > scroll down to the Signature box.  Paste the code into the box and click on "Change Profile" below the box.  You have a 1000 character max.  The tutorial discussed the maximum size of our signatures and tips for staying with the size limitations.

Nope, will leave well enough alone.

To get that, just place one or two spaces between the image codes

When you go to the linkmaker at the top of the page, if you scroll down there is also a link to the 'manual' linkmaker. Open that and the Amazon page for the the book (or other item) you want to link to. In the product details section is the ASIN or in the case of your book, the ISBN, that Amazon uses as an identifier for all their items. Copy that into the proper place in linkmaker. Then get the Image URL for the picture. In firefox, you right click on the image and choose "copy image location." Paste that in the correct spot on Linkmaker, and it will create your links.

I have no idea if I'm doing this correctly, and I do want to do it correctly, so please help me out if you know how I'm goofing up! I copied the URL from my Amazon kindle page, and I'm posting it here. Is that the correct protocal? The link-maker was a bit vague on that part.
Here goes.
