In these pages everyday fishermen, pros, and journalists tell their stories of freak accidents, fishy attacks, pranks, idiotic decisions, eerie or unexplained incidents, and other jaw dropping, adrenalin-pumping calamities. The stories bring to life the strange possibilities that await us once we cast our lines into known and unknown waters.

Here are some of the characters you'll meet inside these pages:

* A sport fisherman who gets taken on harrowing underwater ride by an angry white shark.
* An adventure angler whose boat is over turned by a 200 lb Amazon-river catfish.

Welcome to the Kindleboards Review Board

We have created this Board to serve as a place where Kindleboards members can post reviews of their Kindle and related accessories, such as covers, skins, chargers, and so on. Note that this is not a place for book reviews; those can be posted in The Book Corner. We hope that this Board becomes known as a site for up-to-date, current, informative and helpful reviews and is the first place that people turn to when they are looking for useful opinions on all things Kindle.

To achieve that vision, we have a few guidelines:

·   Each review will be in its own thread. Please title the review with your user name and the name of the product you are reviewing, ie, “Leslie’s Kindle 2 Review.”
·   Readers can comment about a review in the thread.
·   We encourage people to include pictures in their review.
·   Reviews should be balanced – include a discussion of features that you find useful and helpful as well as things that are not quite up to par.
·   Length: remember that shorter and focused is always better. A typical review should be about 600 to 1000 words.
·   If you want to rate the product you are reviewing, Kindleboards will be using a letter system: A, B, C, and F. You can use + and – if necessary to fine-tune your grade.
.   We may post selected reviews in our blog or in other KindleBoards communications or accessory guides.

Moderators will review the reviews (as we do for all threads at Kindleboards). Reviews that are questionable or serve only to denigrate a product will be moved or deleted, at our discretion. As noted above, our goal is to have this be a source of useful and accurate information, not a forum for numerous negative reviews written by people who have never seen or used the product in question.

Let us know if you have any questions! These guidelines are a work in progress so if there is something that needs to be added, send one of us a PM with your suggestions. We look forward to developing this new resource here at Kindleboards.

Happy Reviewing,

Harvey and the Admin team: Leslie, Verena, Linda, Betsy, and Ann

How about a simple rule.  You must either own or actually have used the product that you are reviewing.  Help keep us apart from those trolls on the Amazon site that review things before the product ever even releases.

That is certainly our intention. Thanks for making this expectation explicit.
