Hi all!  This is my first post though I've been lurking here for a couple of months now.

My question is about how to keep track of the books  you own without having to log into Manage My Kindle to see them.

Upon first hearing about Lending going active today, my sister immediately sent me a message saying "hey, wanna share?"  Since she didn't know what books I had, I spent about 45 mins. typing out an email that had the book title, a link to it on amazon, what genre it falls under & whether or not it's "lendable" at the moment. -   I assume she'd doing the same for me so I know what books she has.

There's got to be a better way. Do any of you Kindle Guru's have a better solution to sharing a list of what books you have for those that ask?
I suppose I could have given her my username/password for amazon and let her look at my books herself but I didn't think of that until later.

As it's your sister, don't bother with the Lending, just swap account info, log your kindles into each other's accounts and DL the books. Many people have been doing this for years.
Personally I just have everyone on my account (9 Kindles/Kindle-able devices.)

You're right, that's probably the easiest/best option for my sister and I. But I've got a couple other friends whom I don't feel comfortable doing that with that might want to swap books with me.  -  It would be great if Amazon would create an online feature that allows you to give friends access/permission to view a list of your books.  Would also like to have the option to make a particular book on your list "private" in case you don't want some people to know that you are reading it for whatever reason.

Anyways.. thanks for the response!!

I have an account on Goodreads and I created a shelf with all of the books I have available to lend.

Thanks! I'll check that out when the site comes back up.
(Am getting a "Goodreads is currently unavailable." message when I go to the website.)
