A few days after I received my Kindle at Christmas, I found two "samples" listed in my books:  The Autobiography of Mark Twain (the new one) and Henry James' The Turn of the Screw.

Kinda bizarre.  Don't know how they got there, and I certainly hadn't loaded enough OTHER books on it to give an indication that this was what I liked to read.  (Which it isn't anyway)

I've never had that happen on any of my Kindles in almost three years of using them.

Same here, and I have never heard of Amazon "pushing" samples to people.

I'm not saying they were pushing it, but the samples appeared without my asking for it.  Strange glitch?

Somebody else have a Kindle on your account and sent the samples to the wrong unit?

Nope, I'm the only one in the family with one.

I've run out of ideas. Yes, very strange glitch, I guess.

I'm guessing you accidentally sent them to yourself.  Roll Eyes

Or someone else did -- maybe someone to whom you had handled your Kindle so they could check it out.

But, however it happened, if you don't want 'em it's easy to delete them. Cheesy

I would be concerned about a security breech. I'd contact amazon. It might be symptom of a bigger problem.
