Welcome to the party. Once you made the switch to an eBook reader, it is hard to go back.

Thanks for the welcome Guido, at the moment I still have a huge pile of dead tree books to read through, but the call of the Kindle is very strong.

The call will get weaker and weaker... at fist I bought both, eBooks and paperbacks, now, about 2 years into my Kindle life, I don't consider printed books, unless it is something I really want to read and it its not available in digital. Most of the time I even push those books off, and wait until they become available as eBooks.

I can see it going that way for me. Amazon just need to bring out the waterproof Kindle for reading in the bath and I'll be golden.  Grin

I am with you! ONLY downside is that I will probably go through 2-3 a year as I have dropped it in the bubbles!  Wink Enjoy!

Not just waterproof, but ruggedized.  As more and more kids get Kindles, this is going to become an issue.

That is ridiculously beautiful packaging. As nice as Apple's at any rate...

I don't think I've ever bought an Apple product so not sure about that, but the Kindle package sure is nice. I'll have to post an actual use review soon.
