Since Amazon or the publishers seem to be stingy in what and how often I can loan a book, I have a question about a shared account with my nephew.  We are doing this so he can read some of the books I already have.  He would use his credit card for buying his books and I would use my credit card for buying my books.  My nephew wants to know if his books are 'his' and move with him and him only or is it one big pool of books.  If he decides to go on his own later, does the books he bought go with him?

I *think* the books are attached to your account, so if he gets his own account later...I would think not.

The books stay with the account. He can keep the ones he has on his Kindle, but he will not be able to download them again. (He can save a backup copy from his Kindle to his computer.) The backup copy will only work for the Kindle he originally had on the account.

:-\He has his own account now.  The accounts would merge for the sole purpose of him being able to read my books. He would at some point go back on a solo account.

You can put him on your account and let him download the books he wants, then deregister his Kindle from your account.
