The Kindle 2 debuted three weeks ago. (Yes, it was only three weeks ago!)

In the unveiling, Jeff Bezos noted that the Kindle 2 is, amazingly, 25% thinner than the iPhone 3G (that's the newer, thinner iPhone).

These photos show the relative thickness. Here's my Kindle 2 and my iPhone 3G. That Kindle 2 is pretty slim indeed!

Wow!  Wonder how it stacks up to an original iPhone which is what I have.

I still can't get over how thin it is. It's just slightly thicker than my ipod touch.

<Harvey, it looks like you need to go visit the DecalGirl site Wink>

Hey, Harvey, check your messages!  You have 139 unread messages.  Haha.  I know it's hard when you have more important things to do, i.e., reading from your Kindle2.  Nevertheless, check your messages!   Tongue

It appears exactly the same.  I've got an original and it is about the same distance below the silver bezel.  Very slim indeed!!  And just as "solid" feeling as an original iPhone.
