apply Amazon gift card to purchase ebook?

I want to buy a Kindle ebook using a $20 gift card instead of automatically charging my credit card with the one click purchase.
How is this done?

Once you apply a gift card to your account any orders using the one-click method, including the purchase of a kindle book, will automatically use the gift card balance first. If you buy other items and don't want to use the gift card balance then go through the checkout and amend your payment method rather than using one-click. With Kindle books you have no choice but to use one-click so it will always use the gift card.

AND. . .to apply the gift card, go to YOUR ACCOUNT at Amazon. . .there should be a fairly prominent link in the second section, I think.

Thanks everyone, it worked beautifully.  The one click took the money from my gift card.

 I was waiting to buy Ken Follett's Fall of Giants and took advantage of the $20 gift card for $10 offer.

Glad to hear it. . . .remember, though, if you go to buy something else (not an ebook) and do not want to use up the rest of the card, you should put it in your shopping cart rather than using one click.  That way you'll have the option to change the payment method to bypass the gift card balance.
