Re-load your account - the official Amazon gift card thread

I have a monthly budget of $50 for Kindle books. At the first of the year, I order twelve $50 gift cards to be delivered on the 1st day of each month. Amazon takes care of it and I get an email with the gift card number each month. My Amazon Visa card is not charged until a couple of days before the gift card is delivered each month so I am only "spending" $50/month. I get the 3 points credit for using the Visa card each month so I earn 150 points per month and cash them in when I get 2500 points (I buy more things from Amazon which earns me points too).

Fleur's Mom, what a cool idea!!  Thanks!  I hadn't thought of purchasing them at the beginning of the year, to divy out through the year.

Harvey, I can't use gift cards bought on the Amazon US site on my Amazon UK account. Can we have a link so that UK users can support KB as well?

I earn GC's thru various reward programs including Swagbucks, Memolink.com, and my bank.  I think I'll also try the emailing myself a card each month.  I like the idea of having a constant balance and I really need to get myself a Kindle budget so this is a great idea
